Your Image:
My goal is to create timeless individual beautiful portraits for you, so the best way
to begin is SIMPLE!
My style is to capture your personality. I don’t keep many props in
my studio because I want to focus on you and make your images as unique as
you are. If you have any sentimental items that you wish to bring, it
will add personal value to your artwork and give you something
original.
Dress Code:
Solid colors are strongly recommended. For Black & White wear soft pastels
without prints, logos, pictures or writing. Stripes and patterns
are very distracting. For my signature Black & White portraits, any pastel
mix works best. Ex. Tan or white pants with pink, blue, yellow or
green pastel tops.
Long sleeves are most flattering for adults, whereas children are appealing
in just about any sleeve style.
Your clothing should be all light, all medium or all dark. Mixing lights and
darks on one person may create a sharp looking outfit, but does not
photograph well. Various shades of one color can look great.
For family outfits, color harmony is important. All light or all dark tones
will make the image most successful. Several shades of one color can be
nice.
Shoes and socks should be similar tone to the outfit. With children’s shoes,
avoid shoes with words and designs on the bottom, especially for infants not
yet walking. Bare feet are always nice.
Babies:
Make sure to schedule any immunization shots 48 hours
prior to the shoot or preferably after your session. Sometimes babies can
have reactions for several days. Please re-schedule if your baby is ill. For
optimal results, try to plan around nap and feeding times.
Haircuts should be scheduled two weeks prior to the portraiture.
All babies are adorable a natural!
Toddlers:
and 4-17 year olds will definitely need an extra change of clothing,
otherwise they will play hard and go home wet. I suggest you bring a
towel and garbage bag. They'll have a blast playing in the fountains,
pool, swings and on the beach!!
Hand Tinting:
For successful hand-tinting, middle and light tones such as pastels are
best. Denim always looks great tinted. Hats and hair bows add exciting
elements that can be hand-tinted.
